First PC Build for Next Gen. Is this good?

I think I've come up with a solid rig for my first build. There's a few things I'm really looking for advice on though.
1)First off I want to know if this can compete with and blow away next gen consoles.
2) Foes this have good potential to upgrade in a few years (like a second GPU).

My build

Case: Corsair Carbide Series Black 500R Mid Tower Computer Case
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.4 GHZ 6 MB Cache
Motherboard: Asus Z87 PRO LGA 1150 Motherboard
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800)
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 WF 3X GHz Edition 3GB GDDR5
PSU: Corsair Professional Series HX 750 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Gold
Hard-drive: Seagate Barracuda 3 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 7200 RPM
SSD: Samsung Electronics 840 EVO-Series 120GB 2.5-Inch SATA III
Optical Drive: Samsung 24x SATA DVD¡ARW Internal Drive
Mouse: ROCCAT Kone XTD
KeyBoard: Corsair Vengeance K60
Monitor: BenQ XL2420T

Also, someone suggested I run two 7950's in crossfire instead of the 7970, but would that be better now or get the 7970 and get another 7970 in like a year when I might need the extra power.

So have I under-built or overbuilt or is this just right? Thanks

Well if you can afford to go with the 2 x HD7950 you don't have to worry about finding the second card, other than that looks like a great build either way.

Which would be better. 2 7950's now or 1 7970 now and one later. Also is this system gonna be powerful enough for max settings for the next like 3 years?

The HD7970GHz is going to be better in the end but with 15-20% difference between the cards I belief that the setups are going to last as long. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/AMD/HD_7950_CrossFir...
