If a gtx 780 can't even max out witchers 2 a old ass game than that means i will need to wait for the gtx 980 or even later cards in order to max out witchers 3 cause i know there is no way a maxwell 880 could max out witchers 3 and im not even sure a 980 could either. Whats the point of making new graphic cards when you can't even max out games from years ago. Both amd and nvidia needs to kick up their game. And this is 1080p we're talking about, a simple standard 1080p not even the crazy high 4k resolution.

Solution
A Non- reference GTX 780 is a beast have a look. All games were set to their highest quality setting unless indicated otherwise.
AA and AF are applied via in-game settings, not via the driver's control panel.

There is other games that were benchmarked.I was just giving a example.Source...

Splendid
I agree, but hopefully we are seeing a new performance and pricing war between the two companies, Titan got AMD's attention as it really did up the performance crown for a single gpu card, even tho its overpriced. Lets hope AMD retaliates with a faster card because in turn Nvidia will have to do the same and come out again with a faster single gpu card like the Titan.
I'm curious to see what both companies will do to compete for the fastest single gpu card.

I don't have witchers 2, i just read that a gtx 780 can't max out witchers 2 on another forum which got me pissed as i was about to get the 780 or the r9 290x which i thought would had been enough to even max out witchers 3.

Nothing can max out The Witcher 2 with Ubersampling turned on. Even my dual 7970s lag at 2560x1600

My "important" system parts are i5-4670k stock clock. evga gtx 780 acx also stock clock. 8gb 1600mhz vengance RAM

60 sec sequence for benchmark

I can confirm that on ultra with ubersampling on i ran at about 46 fps average i believe at 1920x1080. (it's been a while ;S) and without ubersampling average framerate was 95 lowest 56 (stutter) highest 112. this was taken at the swampy harbor town walking along the outer walls as well as entering the town, which is where i got the stutter from very brief 1 frame stutter. there might be more demanding areas in witcher 2, haven't got very far yet, but i believe the flora and fog as well as the town and water being there made it a decent spot to benchmark. I was very brief when i made this test, i just wanted to see how it performed. i'll go back to the game later to double check.

Witcher 2's ubersampling is ridiculous, though.

Frankly, I think it's good for games to have features like this. I'd rather have graphical settings that can't be fully utilized than not have them at all. The game is the same either way.
