Hello, I'm a new user here, and this is my first post. I've read some things on this site before and I'd thought I'd try it out since I'm in need of some help.

As of now, my specs are as follows:
CASE: Azza Hurrican 2000 Full Tower Gaming Case with 4 Hot Swappable HDD Cage &
(4) 230MM Fans
CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i7-960 3.20 GHz 8M Intel Smart Cache LGA1366
COOLANT: Standard Coolant
HDD: * 60 GB OCZ Agility 3 SATA III 6.0Gb/s SSD - 525MB/s Read & 475MB/s Write (Single Drive)
HDD2: 1TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 32MB Cache 7200RPM HDD (Single Drive)
MEMORY: 12GB (2GBx6) DDR3/1600MHz Triple Channel Memory Module (Kingston HyperX) KHX1600C9AD3/2G
MOTHERBOARD: * (3-Way SLI Support) GigaByte G1.Sniper Intel X58 SLI/CrossFireX
Triple-Channel DDR3 E-ATX

OS: Microsoft(R) Windows 7 Professional (64-bit Edition)
POWERSUPPLY: 800 Watts - XtremeGear Gaming Power Supply - Quad SLI Ready
GFX Card AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB GDDR5 16X PCIe Video Card (Major Brand Powered by
AMD)

An overview of what my problems are:
My main problem here, is the RAM I have now, and the new motherboard I have my eyes set on, the ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77 LGA 1155. (Yes I'm aware my current processor is not the right socket, I'll get to that in a second.) Right now I have 2GBx6 of ram, and the Sabertooth Z77 only has 4 RAM slots, which leaves me with 2GBx4, so I'm kinda bummed if I do end up getting this bec. of the 4GB I lose.

Also, I'm looking to get an Intel Core i7-3770 Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz 4 Core LGA 1155 as a replacement for the i7-960 I have now.

My main questions:
1. Is my current RAM compatible with the Sabertooth Z77?

2. If it is compatible, what do you recommend I get: the Sabertooth Z77, and lose the 4GB of ram?
OR
Do you guys recommend any other motherboards as an alternative with the LGA 1155 socket, and 6 minimum RAM slots?

3. Will my current GFX Card be compatible with the Sabertooth?

4. Lastly, I was wondering if my current build will work fine, with no compatibility issues, with the addition of the Sabertooth Z77, and the i7-3770?

Additional Info:
I mostly use my PC for gaming and editing.
Thanks, and I hope to get a response as soon as possible! :D

Solution
You can prob get 4 sticks to work in the Z77, that's 8GB, there are no 1155 mobos with 6 DRAM slots, theat Tri-channel and limited to X58 mobos, your GPU will work yes, and yes the other hardware should be compatible

Thanks Tradesman, really appreciate it. One last question, if you don't mind. Will any GTX 6XX or GTX 7XX GFX Card be compatible with the sabertooth? Because I'm most likely going to invest in a new one later on too.
