Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any

Location: City, State/Region, Country - NY

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200

Additional Comments: Pretty much just would like a desktop stricktly for playing online games (upcoming FPS on max settings) and maybe some video editing. I dont plan on ever overclocking. My montor is a samsung syncmaster 245BW. Would that be sufficient for gaming? Also, would you recomend I buy a seperate keyboard and mouse? I only have cheap dell ones. As a side note, I have no direct internet here so I need a wireless card as well. If I were to buy a Verizon Jetpack and play off the 4G connection it gives off, should I be okay? I heard gaming doesn't take too much data. It's really my only option so as long as it would be playable i'm okay with it. Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help me out!

Solution
Even with a 4g connection, you will struggle with gaming online. The jetpack claims up to 150mbps but most people struggle to get more than 10mbps out of it with full connection. This will imit your online gaming ability. Also, if you are going to game on a cellphone data plan. forget it. You will max the data limit with one or two game patch downloads and a few hours of online play.

WOW nice budget! Yes you'll be just fine. I just helped a friend build a pc for $700, landing him 8GB DDR3 Crucial, i7 4k CPU. If you have a Microcenter around, that's where we found the best deals all around for a build day. You should consider buying local for a total build, that way you're still up and running the same day even if you suffer an out of box failure.

The thing is I heard of people playing on it with an Xbox 360 and having no problem?
Here's a video of someone playing Black Ops 2 with it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQRrS97A5V8
Also multiple sources on many topics online have said it works fine.
