Okay so this recently started happening on my Sapphire HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 .... It only happends when I run a graphically intensive game. I can't even get through the first test on 3DMark... i'm starting to think it's my power supply because I recently got some new parts for my computer.. please help... Here's my specs.. I'm hoping my GFX card isnt shitting out on me..

Motherboard: AsRock Z77 Professional
CPU: Intel core i5 3570K 4.0GHZ
RAM: 16GB DDR3 Corsair Vengence
Video Card: Sapphire HD 7970 3GB GDDR5
Power supply: Thermaltake TR-600P TR2 Series ATX Power Supply - 600W

More Than likely its a driver issue i just got done fixing mine because mine was doing the same thing but i root for the underdog so i still support AMD. your psu should be fine. do a clean driver sweep and install catalyst 13.9.

Okay I did what you said, I actually got through the first 2 tests of 3DMark.. And got to the last test,(Fire strike) and my screen just goes black, and the monitor goes to sleep... I then have to restart the computer.. As i did, the computer restarted, and after about 10 seconds of being on the desktop screen, it went black again and the monitors went to sleep again .. So i restarted again and here i am typing this reply... Sigh i dont know what is happening.... this started happening like 2 weeks ago..

It's been about a month now. No crash. That seems to have fixed it. Thanks!
