Corsair 100i vs Custom Loop question

I am looking for any advice. I really like the simple solution of the 100i. The numbers seem to be decent for OC. I know the Custom Loop would be better, but I priced out a full custom loop at over $1100 vs the $100 for a H100i.

Besides looking cool, is it really worth it. I do alot of high end gaming and thats about it.

I personally don't think $1100 is out of the realms of reality assuming it's atleast a CPU + 2 x GPU loop. I recently spent £650 (about $1050) on a custom loop.

Watercooling is silly expensive :(
Hi,

I take it the $1100 custom loop you priced up includes GPU cooling aswell, so that would seem like the main advantage to me, GPU's are hot and loud so they benefit massively from watercooling.
A custom loop will cool better than a H100i when done right, but you can still get a good overclock using a H100i so if you'd be happy with a moderate overclock then perhaps you don't need custom water.
I would say if you want a quiet PC with excellent temps and overclocking headroom then go custom water, if not then get a H100i (or similar).

Can you list the parts included in your estimate of $1100 that seems rather high priced.
