So today I finally got my new CPU and mobo (3570k and MSi Z77A-G43). I got Windows 8 up and running then I went to MSi's website to update my BIOS. I did not know what to really update so I just downloaded this Live Update 5 crap that would scan my rig and see what could/can be updated on my mobo. I went to download the BIOS update 2.8 (my mobo was on 2.5). I started the update and about a minute later my computer froze and it blue screen of death on me. It restarted and now it won't boot up anymore. Here's the things that happen next:

(Also, I don't have an optical drive so I used my dads USB BluRay portabl drive as my optical drive. I set that as my first boot priority and never got to change it since my PC BSOD'd on me).

1). When I start my PC with the USB portable drive plugged in it turns on but my screen is still blank. What is also weird is if there is a disk in the drive and it stops spinning, then the computer turns off.

2). And when I unplug the USB portable drive my PC just constantly boot loops.

I tried restoring the CMOS by jumping the pins. I tried taking out the battery for a while. I tried starting my PC with my HDMI cable plugged into the mobo itself. I know RAM and CPU aren't the culprits because I was able to install Windows 8. My CPU ran cool at about 34 degrees celsius when I looked in the BIOS.

Any ideas on what to do? I'm thinking its going to be RMA'd.
