Did I damage my CPU from past OC's?

So I tried to OC my cpu from 3.3 stock to 4.5. It worked for awhile but I didn't feel safe with that OC level because even though I could play sc2 it would BSOD after several hours of Prime95. I bumped it down to 4.3 and that seemed a lot more stable (Prime >10 hours no error).

I've had it at stock since I was trying to see if there was a difference in lag (and I know most of this has to do with ISP speed) but when I last tried to OC again my computer would just shutdown-no BSOD.

So now I just run stock cpu speed. My video card is OC'd. My temps were at 50C max load throughout running Prime.

Is it likely I damaged my CPU?

core i5 2500k
8 gb RAM
gtx 460 768mb
anteq basiq 550w (I hear anteq is a reputable PSU co.)

Hi,

It's certainly a possibility that you've damaged your CPU, CPU's do degrade over time and the increased voltage used when overclocking only accelerates this process.
However what I would do is try a very minor overclock, perhaps just 100Mhz , basically start from scratch completely.
If that fails then I would try clearing the CMOS or re-flashing the BIOS.
