when I power on I just et the message no boot device available, even though the windows cd is in and I can hear it spinning but just get "no boot device available"
Just keep hitting the key to get in sometimes dell/hp computers have the fast boot on by default, to where as soon as the power turns on you have to rapidly hit the bios menu key aka f1 f2 delete one of these. then when in the bios choose boot menu then choose dvd drive and it should boot from the dvd.
Can you get into the bios at all? If so check that its set so you can boot from the CD.
Nope, ive tried all the suggested key presses ( F keys, delete, escape etc ect) I can do a diagnostic check and get into system settings and both the cd drive and hard drive are recognised but I just cant get into the bios to set the hard drive....almost at the point of launching the whole god damn system at the wall lol
you might want to reset your bios, Turn off your computer open up you computer and remove the coin battery for 30 seconds then put it back in, boot up your computer then try delete key or f2 key to get into the bios.
