I bought a new pc last week and for some reasons my fps is really low in Crysis 3...

i tried the games on full settings, i mean every thing was on MAX.Iin the very beginning of the game when in front of you there is a buliding and behind you the ocean i had about
20-28 FPS if i looked at the building and 70-80 if to the ocean.

Config:
CPU: i5 4670 k
GPU:Gigabyte 7970 (GV-R797OC-3GD)
RAM:16 gb ram 1600mhz corsair vengeance kit
MB:Asus Maximus VI Hero

no ovelocking no extreme setting. All defaults.

are the above normal? or should i do something else.

How can i have 60 FPS constantly?

Thanks in advance.

Crysis plays by its own rules, you can throw 1000 bucks at GPUs and still not max it. Realistically its not the best optimized game are requires insane amounts of power to max it. Its gotta maintain its reputation as a system melter after all :p Crysis 1 still looks better than many games, I would consider crysis to be a peek into the average game in 5-8 years.

UPDATE YOUR GAME TO V 1.3

its game's fault . not your hardware's . ( game has problem with PHYSX or something & it got fixed in 1.3 patch )

I had the same issue ! now i can play it Perfectly with GTX 760 .

good Luck ;) . by the way you've got gr8 system . don't worry about such slowdowns . its definitely not caused by such powerful hardwares .

its caused by poor optimization & lots of bugs .

if you still dont like your FPS . dont use high AA values . they usually kill any hardware without making a wow difference .
