Hello,
I fell really stupid FOR ASKING THIS and i think i posted this in the wrong section, but anyways.
I got a new hand built pc and it booted just fine, everything is okay, but my keyboard and mouse doesn't work.It searches for drivers online for a moment and then stops.
I have a disc to install mouse and keyboard drivers, but i am not sure do i need it and will it be possible to install them without mouse or keyboard.

P.S I can't connect to internet either because i need a special usb stick to use wifi.

Hey there,
I'm assuming you're using USB peripherals (keyboard/mouse) here on a newer board, since you just got the PC. Let's also assume that your PC builder tested the machine using their own keyboard and mouse, also USB based (if they didn't I'd take issue with their quality control practices.) Based on these assumptions we can assume there is a way to get your keyboard and mouse to work. Now, still considering that it's a new PC I'll be bold and make another assumption that the motherboard has the new standard of USB (USB 3.0.) If this is the case, windows needs the drivers for not only your keyboard and mouse, but the USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard. Frustrating since you need to be able to control the PC to do this.

So where am I going with all this? Most modern boards have both USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports on the rear of the machine...and you want to be sure to use the USB 2.0 ports for your keyboard and mouse...at least until you get the drivers installed for USB 3.0.

USB Ports are marked by color...with USB 3.0 having a telltale blue and USB 2.0 having...well, a different color...vendors don't seem to have a standard on this...but they won't be blue, that we know. Plug your keyboard and mouse into these ports and give it another go. If it doesn't work, just put up another post with the results.

Cheers

It will. I had the same problem. On my new board it only has USB 3.0. Wouldn't work until I used some of the USB 2.0 headers. Once I plugged into those, I was able to load my USB 3.0 drivers. My 2.0 keyboard works just fine in a 3.0 port. It is backwards compatible.

There is a way to actually get internet by connecting it to ethernet, but it would take a lot of time to bring computer to the router so i was thinking is there any other way....

Right, what we're asking is are you using the USB 2 ports for your keyboard and mouse?
