Would it work if i donwgrade from windows 8 to 7 in order to increase dedicated graphics memory?

Hi, i got a laptop running on windows 8 OS but can't find an option in the BIOS setting to increase dedicated graphics memory unlike in windows 7. Would it be smart to downgrade my OS to the latter to be able to make the changes? Do you think it will work? and if it would, will the new 'selected dedicated graphics memory be reverted if i should reinstall windows 8 back? please help. Thanks
it's a HP probook 4540s, intel core i3, 2.40GHz, 4GB RAM, 64 bit OS, 500GB and my current dedicated graphics memory is 32MB

  1. Nope, the OS has no influence on what options are and aren't available in the BIOS.
