ok guys .. i was going to buy 7970 in a couple of days but since the new R9 280x looks promising and supports uhd i think i changed my mind and will get the R9 280x sapphire toxic ..

the thing is , i don't understand the mechanism of the ultra high definition in the card .. i mean i have a full hd screen 1920x1080 and i don't know if the 4k resolution will work on such screens ..

so if someone have a better explanation about the upcoming 4k uhd in 280x plz tell me .. thanks

All it's saying is that the card will be able to display 4k resolutions (3840x2160). The resolution is determined by your monitor, so the card will run any resolution you want up to 4k as long as your monitor supports it.

So there's no problems with you buying that card and running it at 1080p.

They are using multiple outputs where as with a single 4k monitor you only need one. Everything else is mostly personal preference (such as using extended desktop or such things)

There might be more things I'm forgetting.
