In my office I have a very weird setup for my printers. The printer is an old OKI b6100. I am recently going through the process of updating the PCs in the office. It seems that there is a block on the printer. As I cannot force any new computer to see and/or connect to the printer. I've tried everything I can think of from sharing the printers to homegroups and changing security settings on computers that do see the printer. No computer can access the port that the printer is on and the printer drivers have been long since outdated by the manufacturer. The last was Windows XP.

The kicker here, is that all the computers that I have upgraded actually had Windows 7 installed on it. How could it be possible that these computers have the drivers installed when no drivers were made specifically for Windows 7?

Maybe but they are all different computers. Set up at different times. One user even has XP. I believe the printer is shared from one computer which currently has a virus. I don't think the virus is affecting the printer. But I cannot allow the printer to share the drivers with newer computers. Including my workstation which was installed before the virus. The newer computers just cannot connect to and/or download the printer drivers.

So is there anyway to share the old drivers with the new PCS? Windows update doesn't even find them. Are there physical files I can copy over from the old computer that will allow it to install?
