Can cpu high Temp damage my M.B and VGA ?

hey guys

3 weeks ago i decided to install core temp , then i saw my cpu temp is like 90 !
it turns out my cpu fan was off , so how can i know my cpu , M.B and my vga are fine ?

is there a chance that my cpu damaged my M.B , and then My M.B dameged my vga ? :D
( i know its a weird question but i just want to make sure they are fine and will be fine ! )

Misread that you were on a laptop. Thought that you were on one for some random reason.

Taking into account that it's not a laptop, it's unlikely. If it were a laptop it'd be more worrying since motherboard and CPU temperatures are around the same mark on laptops (or at least on mine!), so it could've been damaged.

On a desktop, then it's unlikely that it damaged the motherboard. But CPU life expectancy was definitely reduced.

There's always the chance, but computers were built taking into account the possibility of everything going wrong. Building a laptop without thinking about the possibility of a fan going off for any reason would be a critical mistake.

When the computer reaches critical temperatures on any component, it shuts down. No warnings, just cuts power, instantly. Almost like if you just took the battery out. Of course, unlike taking the battery out, the laptop itself knows it's going down and attempts to not damage any component during this procedure.

No critical temperatures were reached otherwise it would've shutdown, but life expectancy might've been reduced due to the high temperatures.

actually it DID shut down :(
im asking this because i'm going to buy an expensive VGA and i'm worried that my M.B will damage it ! what do you think ? can this happen?
