I am thinking of buying this fan http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fractal-Design-Silent-Series-92... for my PC case, and would like to know whether it is compatible with this motherboard http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/H61M-P31--G3-.html, and if not which fan is?

Also, my PC PC is idling at 45-50c (60-65c under load) even though I have a CoolerMaster Hyper TX3 Evo CPU fan, why would this be?

Stock heatsink? what cpu do you have? If you replaced your heatsink try cleaning and reseating it with arctic silver

Also how many case fans do you have as well?

you can put whatever fan you want.if there are no pins for the case fan on the motherboard a molex connector should come with it.if not you can easily find them .
as for your temperatures sound perfectly fine.
what possessor do you have?

I understand that a micro ATX case has not got the best airflow, so I am guessing my temperatures are OK. One last question, should I put the case fan on the side or on the back, and which way should it blow?

he said cpu fan not heatsink so I was thinking it was just the fan haha

also I would say if you want get the hyper 212 and youll have a cooler and quieter computer since you will have a 120mm fan vs the 92 mm

also adding an intake and exhaust fan in your case will help if there are not any

My motherboard looks to be able to only support 1 more fan, so do I buy one for the back or for the side?

having a fan blowing directly on a other fan is not a good idea.best is to put it a the back and use it as a exaughst to remove hot air from within the case. if you have more exausts than intakes air will nsert the case from the side panell.always intake from in the front low and exaughst from the back top.hot air rises cold air fals down ;)
