Approximate Purchase Date: when r9 280x becomes available planned to get gtx 770 but r9 seems to be cheaper and runs par to the 770

the build i made almost all the parts from new egg and amazon are available hire just a bit more expensive ..

cpu: AMD FX 8350 4.0ghz (Black Edition)
video card: HIS Radeon R9 280X IceQ X2 Turbo Boost 3gb/384bit
mb: am3+ Gigabyte 990FXA UD3 rev.4(any suggestions on better mb with close price point?)
ram: G.Skill Ares (Dual) 2x4gb ddr3 1866
psu: Corsair TX-M 850watts (TX850M) 80Plus Bronze (im not sure if 850w enough watts for dual cf in the future?)
hdd:Seagate 2tb (ST2000DM001) 64mb sata
casing:Thermaltake TT Overseer RX-I
optical-drive: HP 24x Sata (OEM)
os : currently win 7 (does win 8 have any advantage on gaming?)
cpu cooler: Deep Cool Ice Blade Pro V2.0 or Noctua NH U12P SE2 or Noctua NH U12S?
(any suggestions on better fans for ocing?)

Build looks pretty solid. For the os win 7 is fine, (win 8 does have dx 11.1 which is hardly implemented in any games yet). As for the cooler you might want to look into noctua's dh-14 (one of the best air coolers on the market). Other than that I'd say your good to go!

I agree with TBC1, the system looks pretty good. A couple of notes for you:

1. Operating system: make sure to get the 64-bit version if you go with Win 7 (you'll need this to run the 8GB of memory you're getting)
2. PSU: 850w is more than enough. If you are not planning to add a second GPU, then a 550w to 750w will do the trick, and you could save some money too.
