Wireless internet not working

Hi guys,

I'm a new member and this is the first time im posting on a forum, so excuse me if i'm ignorant about some things.

I recently bought an open box laptop (windows 8). the internet worked fine for a week or two but for the last few days it's not been working properly. I am able to connect to the wireless internet connection, and it shows me the bars, but when i try opening a website, it either takes wayy too long, or just doesnt load. There are times when the internet will randomly decide to work but mostly it doesnt. All other laptops at home work fine. I was afraid it might be an issue with my laptop so i tethered mobile data using my cell phone, and the laptop worked fine on that connection. I also plugged in an ethernet cable, and it worked fine on that as well. Help!
