CPU Coolor: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 EVO (using it on a i5 4670k haswell)
Case: Rosewill Challenger

My friend said it will barely fit.. anybody any other thoughts? I'm not using a fan on the top slot of my side panel right now.

According to the newegg reviewers, yes it will fit, but as some said, just barely.

Google finds many images of the 212's in that case.

The plus and evo are the same height(well 0.5mm difference).

In my line of work 0.5mm is a lot.

I have a feeling it is just a "more accurate" measurement on the newer unit.

I have seen identical coolers have slightly different heatpipe heights.

I do fully understand you, but that case has more than 0.5 mm left from the cooler to the case panel.

Thanks guys! I'm going to buy it when the prices of the GTX 760 go down.

I'm running with the stock cooler now.. I go between 28-32 idle.

Those temps are fine. As long as you are not overclocking, the stock cooler is fine.

It will not be as cool as aftermarket, but it will keep it within Intel's specifications.

That case is only 7.5 inches deep. If it fits at all it will be really close. My case is about 8.5 " across and I have a Gelid Tranquill in there, and maybe an inch clearance between the top and the cover. Personally I wouldn't consider a case 7.5 inches wide. There certainly isn't going to much if any provision for wire / cable management in that thing.

That's tight enough that a board and processor difference can cause issues, not to mention it lowers protection of components to near zero.
