Higher end CPU for ~$250?

I was curious what there is out there for around $250 that would be worth buying as a upgrade to my current CPU.

I have been looking around a little and only found the "AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz (4.2GHz Turbo) 8 Core"

Any ideas, or should I just wait until the prices go down a little?

Specs:
AMD FX-6100 Six-Core Processor (willing to upgrade)
AMD Radeon HD 6870 (willing to upgrade if better choice)
Corsair Vengeance 16 GB ( 4 x 4 GB )

If your sticking with you mobo than there is no better that the FX8350. i5 4670k if your also upgrading motherboard.
6870 is pretty old now, i suggest picking up the 7970 for $300 or better yet, wait for the R9-280X

One problem, I don't really want to spend more than $275 So I would have to pick one of those. Any advice?

Thanks for the advice, I will definitely take that into consideration if i end up buying a new cpu. Overclocking it to the speed of the 8350 wouldn't be that risky right?
