Would OC'ing the FX-4100 on a 78LMT-USB3 board get me stable temps under load with a stock cooler?

And how much do I up the voltage per each time I up the multiplier?

My PSU is a 500w Corsair.

Solution
the maximum temperature for a 4100 is around 60 to be safe under load. 70 is the maximum but your cpu would be much better at 60. i would recommend getting something like a hyper 212 evo if you are planning on overclocking they are cheap and great for the price.

As this is my first build, how would I install the back plates to the MoBo?

you will get an instruction manual in the box. also there are some tutorials on youtube etc. that show you every step of the way. the videos pretty much hold your hand. i recently built my machine and put a 212 evo in it and it was easier than i thought. its really not hard
