Hi, until today, Windows 8 had been running correctly. However, today upon signing in, everything was frozen, so I restarted my computer. After the restart, automatic repair attempted to fix my computer, but that didn't work. Windows 8 now loads into a black screen and nothing changes. I installed Windows 8 onto another partition, and would like to access the files from the partition that the corrupted version of Windows 8 is on, but it is telling me that my access to that drive is denied.
I have tried taking ownership of the drive, but I still am getting the message that says that the drive is inaccessible and access is denied. Is there any way I can recover the files (specifically the word documents) from that drive?? Thank you all very much.
