I'm sure this question is asked constantly. What should I upgrade in order to play the new gen of games. My specs follow:

CPU: AMD FX-4100 CPU (4x 3.60GHz/4MB L2 Cache)
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7770 - 1GB - Single Card
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 -- AMD 970
RAM: 8 GB DDR3-1600 Memory Module - A-DATA Gaming Series
PSU: 650 Watt - Casegears ECO-Element / 80+
Cooling: Liquid CPU Cooling System [AMD] - Standard 120mm Fan

What components of my PC should I upgrade that would be both cost effective as-well as performance boosting?

Thank You
-David

PSU because i dont recognise that brand and usually that means a non reputable brand meaning in the chance it could be low quality as well as this i would upgrade the GPU for the biggest jump in performance but keep in mind your cpu might not be able to keep up with this new faster graphics card.

I'm using an ASUS 24" 1920x1080
The budget is more, I want to get the biggest bang for my buck rather than "I have X dollars to spend"

I will most likely upgrade the PSU to 800watt or so. 650 seems low to me.

At this point you will probably notice more from the following in this order.

GPU (nothing to crazy), CPU (will prepare you more so for future GPU upgrades), if you don't already have one a SSD.

maybe one of these or better?
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

maybe a 3gig 7950.......... one I wanted to post with best price was sold out. you can shop though.

edit..... i think the PS should be okay.

I think I'll upgrade both CPU and GPU together. The performance gain I'll get for the money is really nice

I would buy the best gpu I could get first. see how the processor reacts to some games vs others because that will then become the weak link.
