The ASUS routers are pretty much best in most of the categories currently, which you buy depends on your budget. For N600 wireless go with an RT-N56U. Take a look HERE to compare routers in various classes of N and AC wireless.
Just remember that your wireless adapters must support the same speeds for any router to get the benefit of that class of router.

Wireless AC is the latest wireless standard and provides the fastest speeds. Your wireless devices need to be 802.11ac compatible, otherwise you will be using the slower Wireless N technology.
As mentioned, Asus have some well reviewed routers (I have an RT-AC68U and can vouch for that), but there are some other gems as well, notably from Netgear:
