Hi! First, I want to say hello to every one, and introduce myself because this is my first thread on this site. My name is Olaf, I am a gamer from Poland and I really need your help!

So, I' m trying to build my first gaming rig, and naturally i want it to be as future-proof as it could be, and... as beastly as it could be for its price :) And here the problem begins. One week ago i was 100% sure, that i want this:

CPU: i5 3570k
GPU: GTX 770/ 7970 GHZ (because of mantle)
MOBO: ASrock z77 extreme IV
CASE: SilentiumPC brutus 310
RAM: whatever-1600-CL9-and-its-cheap
PSU: SilentiumPC M1 bronze 650W
DVD: the cheapest one
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue, 3.5'', 500GB, SATA III, 7200RPM (WD5000AAKX)

But few days ago, I got a vision (epic drumms) What if i would buy a 8350 instead of i5, save some money on cpu and motherboard and throw it in upcoming r9 290 (non x) ? I think it should be in my price range. I can always buy a 600w and save even more. but i am wondering if it could outperform i5/7970ghz, 770 gtx in terms of gaming.

BUT it's not the end. When i saw Battlefield 4 performance threads and watch dogs requirements, i've got a brand new vision. What if, I would replace 3570k with i7 3770 (non k) and find nice motherboard without z77 chipset to equalize prices and get 6 stronger cores plus 1ht with the same cost? Of course in this case, i can "only" afford 7970 ghz or gtx 770 2 gb (i am afraid of that 2 gb, so it's another adventage of 7970 according to bf4 beta)

And that's my problem. Also i want to admit that i don't want to start AMD/Intel/Nvidia flame war. I Have tight budget and i can't afford i5 and 290. I also know, that i5 performs mostly better in games/ equally to 8350 in some new next-gen titles but i am wondering if 8350/290 will be more efficient than i5, i7/ 770, 7970 ghz. i am just looking for best overall performance. 99.9% games performance.

I am very sorry for all possible language mistakes. I am still learning this beautifull language and I want to be better and better :)

Build looks pretty good. Few thoughts here - 1. I'd definitely stick with the i5 (it's a super solid cpu for gaming) 2. Go with the 770 instead of the r9 (it's way cheaper and you can always sli it down the road when you need the extra power - will need a heftier psu though).

But i am not so sure if i5 will be efficient in future titles, as I wrote in my previous post (bf4 and WD) moreover i think, that faster GPU can compensate slower cpu in games. It' s a great mystery, I am at the turn of generations and i don' t know what direction would take the PC gaming world.

Dude, he was talking about getting the "r9 290" which is way more expensive than a 770. And yes, a 7970 is cheaper than 770 but a 770 gives better performance.

After premiere of r9 2xx series, things have changed. I want to:
1. go with r9 280x instead of 7970 ghz and buy an i7 4770k (without cooling) or i5 (with nice noctua cooling)

2. 8350 and r9 290 (non x) option. To make polish prices more clear to you I will try to convert PLN to USD. In Poland 280x vapor x (which i want to buy ) costs 1169 PLN and it's something like 278.3 $. I can pay up to 1800 PLN ( 428 $) when going with 8350. What do you think guys, would that be possible to buy r9 290 with this amount of cash?
