Would any of the new GPU be worth an upgrade or even compatible for my PC?

PC specs are

HP Pavillion
AMD A8-5500 3.20GHZ
RADEON 7700 (upgrade)
650W PSU (upgrade)
6GB RAM

They'd be compatible no doubt, and probably worth it as you'd get lots more out of a R9-280x than your 7770 (i'm assuming you meant that when you said 7700). You'd probably start to see your CPU holding you back at that point though, i'd say a 7870 might be a good point to upgrade to (and they're quite cheap right now) for more performance without needing to upgrade your cpu/mobo

Would the 7870 tha best gpu for my cpu? I would rather have the best one for it rather than kept buying and buying a GPU. Thanks for your answer

AMD APU's have kind of weak cpu cores, with anything higher than a mid-grade card your cpu would start to limit your performance, so there'd be no reason to buy better GPU's...if you're planning on switching to intel or an AM3+ board down the road, then i'd say go for the best you can afford...
