My new ASRock: 970 Extreme4 MOBO doesn't wake up normally from sleep mode. Here are my components:

MOBO: ASRock: 970 Extreme4
BIO version: 2.30
cpu: AMD FX-8350
RAM: Ripjaws Z Series F3-2400C10D-3GZH
Video card: SAPPHIRE 100322L
SSD: ADATA ASX900S3-256GM-C
Seconday drive: Western Digital WD10EZEX
OS: Windows 7 (64-bit)
DVD Burner: SAMSUNG SH-224DB/BEBE
PSU: CORSAIR PSU CX600
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R

The last time the MOBO didn't wake up (10/10/2013), the UEFI screen came up, and the only thing that could get the computer to function again was unplugging the PSU. And once the PSU was plugged in again (5 to 10 seconds later), the MOBO did not reboot. It was as if the MOBO came right out of sleep mode, with all of the previously opened documents visible. On the Newegg site, it clearly states that the MOBO offers "AM3+ 8-CORE PROCESSOR SUPPORT", so I assume the cpu should work. The BIOS is 2.30, which, according to the ASRock web site offers "Improved AM3+ FX-8350 and FX-8150 CPU compatibility". Does "improved" mean that it works or that it might work? Also, when it actually does wake from sleep mode, the folder for a thumb drive in the USB 3.0 port (from the MOBO header) is duplicated. This board has not been overclocked. It is being used as a business computer. I'd appreciate any advice.

Solution
AMD FX-8350 supports 1866MHz memory speed with one DIMM per channel. For two DIMMs per channel you can use 1600 MHz speed memory. DDR3-2400 memory is not supported unless you overclock the system.

Thanks for the quick response. I won't be able to switch out the memory until Oct 16 (it's at my brother's place.). I'll let you know how it goes. Thank again.
