I am going to be running SLI EVGA GTX 780 Classified's (when I get the liquid cooling set up) and I am currently using a Samsung SyncMaster S22B310 ( http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LS22B310BS/... ). I upgraded from some hp monitor I had since the 90's to that Samsung, and I have been blown away by the performance. It was a drastic upgrade, and I can really appreciate the display. However, I would absolutely LOVE to be encompassed up to my peripherals in display panels, so I have been considering getting a cool Nvidia Surround setup.

My questions:
1. What kind of hardware would somebody need to run 3 1600p monitors?
1A. What can my GTX 780 Classifieds handle?

2. Is there a noticeable difference going from 1440p to 1600p?
2A. How big is the change from 1440p to 1600p?

3. Since I am upgrading from 1080p, should I just go balls out and shoot for a 1600p setup?

and lastly,

4. Which monitor/s should I be looking at, and what specs should I look at on said monitors? I don't know much about monitors, unfortunately.

Thank you Tom's Hardware! I apologize for the huge question.

1. Pretty baller hardware, I would be looking at least dual cards. Your dual 780's would probably be fine to handle it if your fine with not having maximum eye candy, your running at a resolution larger than 4K here.
1A. See above

2. 2560x1440 or 2560x1600, difference of about half a million pixels, times three and youv lost 1.5million pixels. On an individual screen, probably wouldn't matter, on this scale its probably going to make a difference. Go 1600p for maximum baller-ness, or go 1440p if your concerned your 780's are going to under perform. Though I think your wallet will make you go 1440p anyway, 2560x1600 displays are expensive.

3. Depends

4. Any screen of this resolution of going to be of pretty good quality, I would err toward an ASUS or Dell Ultrasharp monitor. One questionable option if cash is hurting is a Korean import monitor, which go for significantly cheaper but its a bit dodgy as to their quality.
Have a read through the monitor guide linked in my sig, might help.

do you think 2 780ti's clocked to 1264mhz could handle 1440p surround?

Well, if they cant then nothing will.
Might want to wait and see how aftermarket 290X's perform once their temperature throttling issues are sorted out.

I decided that if I do upgrade, its going to be to 3 1080p monitors with lightboost, because I am fine with that resolution, and I would love to remove motion blur as much as possible. I am more concerned with image quality than resolution after looking into it :p
