I've been searching for a while but none have given me a definitive answer.

I can SLI single GPUs on Quad SLI ready motherboards? if not why?

thanks in advance

Solution
Ahh, I see. Yes you can, the fact that the mobo is quad SLI ready means that it is possible to run up to 4 cards in SLI on that mobo. But you can run any number of cards up to 4.

Think of it like an HD ready TV. The TV is capable of running in HD, but it doesn necessarily have to.

Hope this answers your question. =)

Hi!

Apologies, but I can't quite see what you are asking here...

If you have a quad SLI ready mobo, it means you can have up to 4 Nvidia cards running in tandem, but you can run anything from 1 to 4 cards on that mobo.

If this doesnt answer your question, can you let me know exactly what you are trying to achieve here?

What mobo are you talking about and what GPU are you talking about? =)
