Hello there, any of you old timers ever used norton ghost to backup Windows xp? i remember it being like formatting your pc, just the difference is that it was in a matter of minutes and with everything you wanted Pre-installed.
is this possible with windows 7? if so whats the best program for it? i tried norton ghost but it doesn't quite live up to its legacy.

I'm not sure how straightforward the recovery is with Windows 7 Backup though, particularly when compared to Acronis. You've got to reload Windows before you can use it, then how cleanly does it overwrite the current OS? With Acronis, you boot their CD, and restore your image without concern for what might be overwritten. You don't even need to prepare and format your replacement drive.

I also use Acronis True Image, but windows is just as easy. All you need is a windows install disc.
