I about to buy and install some new RAM, my current setup up is 2X2GB sticks of CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 1600MHz 9-9-9-24 on a ASUS M4A87TD USB3 motherboard.
The plan is to replace with with 2x4GB sticks (As 1 of the RAM slots is inaccessible due to aftermarket cooler) of Corsair CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9.
My question/worry is that that the latency of the old/current RAM is 9-9-9-24 and the latency on the new RAM is 9-9-9-27. The motherboard manual has lists of compatible RAM and no where does it have the 9-9-9-27 latency, im assuming it would work fine but just wanted some advice/conformation of this?
Also what effect does latency have on day to day use of the RAM and computer?
