I will be getting a second Matrix and I'm worried about the temps of the top card. I really don't want to go to water cooling. My case is the Corsair 650d and board is the Asus Hero. I was thinking moving a drive bay to the middle of the base on the tower and mounting a fan directly on top of it. So the fan would be close to the rear of both cards. The case doesn't have side mounting fans. Would that setup keep the top one cool and send all the heat to the vent at the back of the card?

Solution
It will be fine. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Nothing special needed.

If you REALLY are worried, you could do the fan thing, but more than likely it will do nothing at all besides goof up the airflow in your case.

okay so I measured on my board and it will have like a cm or two clearance. I just really need to see it to believe it I guess.
