Can i run 2x2gb ddrII 800Mzh on FSB1066, DDRII667 motherboard?

I bought the ram from ebay and now i realised i threw my money in wind
... or is there any solution?

Yes the ram should have no issue running at slower speed.

The ram should work but it will run at the highest speed that the motherboard is rated for. So like if its an older board with the q963 chipset that memory will work but only run at 667.
That should still be cool as the increase in overall performance from say 1gb to 4gb should be pretty large.
The increase of overall performance from 667 to 800 will be like 1%.

Oh well... But its not working, when i insert those 2 card and turn the power on my monitor doesnt even go on... It just stays in sleep mode

You are not mixing it with the old ram? If not put the modules in and reset CMOS before stating up.

Nope, i just insert those 2x2GB cards and turn power on but nothing happens...
Hmmm ok, ill try the remove-insert battery method

The other question is does your motherboard support 2 GB modules.

it didn't work
Well i was running a 2GB modul + 1GB modul before i bought these 2x2GB and it was working just fine

Then it probably needs tweaking to run both, like setting command rate to 2T rather than 1T if you can in bios.

With one stick in then after tweaking try inserting the second one.

its all set up... i restarted CMOS and each modul is working for it self, but it still doesnt work in duo... i really have no idea anymore

well i set it to high... wont run it... but when i enter bios again with 1 modul inside, its set to auto again hmm

You should be able to select manual and it should stay manual.
