Hello,
I have had a computer for a while that has been using an i5 3350p. It has been good for most things but some of my favorite games have been using 99% of it a lot of the time. So I was wondering, would it be worth the upgrade? I will be getting a new motherboard for crossfire and more memory capacity, so would it be worth it to get a 4670k?

Specs:
i5 3350p
8GB Ram
Sapphire 7950 OC to 1.2 GHz
550W PSU

Thanks

EDIT: I would be overclocking it with my custom watercooler.

Not really.
If your getting anything below 139$ no.
If yes , maybe I would , if I can save up for the rest of the price.
But IMHO , its not worth the trouble as the 3350P is good enough to take on the latest games with similar performance.
I would recommend the Xeon E3's if your desperate for upgrading. You can get one in the LGA 1155 socket for almost the same price as the 3570k/4670k , but with Hyper Threading which will help you in the longer run. Only con is no OCing , but TBH OCing the CPU rarely is sensible as you hardly get 4-8 FPS up on average OCs.
If you can sell off your 3350p for a good price, maybe.

If not ... Nope. The 4670k doesn't OC that well anyhow and for the price over what you have now its just not worth it.

What games are you playing where its getting pegged at 99%?
