HD 7990 6GB now or R9 290X later?

Building a new rig in a few weeks and wanted to know if waiting for the R9 will boast any real improvements over 7990. I know most info we have is sparse or conjecture but I still am interested to hear people's thoughts. I just want my computer to run next gen games on ultra at at least 60 FPS.

yep. one more week.

if the rumors are to be believed the 290x is supposed to be at the speed of or a little faster then the Titan... which is about 30% slower then the 7990. the expectation is the 290 will pace the 780... the best price/performance ratio for a high end setup might end up being 2 290s in xfire... but we'll have to see at what price point they're sold at.

of course this is all RUMOR... the truth may be different.
