Hello fellow PC enthusiasts !

I have an AMD a10 6800k 4.1 GHZ , Turbo boost to 4.4 GHZ,
and I have the STOCK CPU cooler.

Gaming takes me to aout 55-65 degrees , and CPU intensive games like BF3 multiplayer goes upto 72-75.

So im looking out for a HEATSINK, and this is within my budget:

Cooler Master Hyper 101
http://www.flipkart.com/cooler-master-hyper-101/p/itmd7...

Will it make a temperature diffrence of at least 5 degrees ?

PS: These are on Die temps, my core temps dont go above 65 degrees on Max load with PRIME95

UPDATE: I was able to bag the Cooler Master Hyper EVO TX3,

Now i have another query.
Is 20 degrees a considerable diffrence ? Am i getting what i paid for ?

My core temps have reduced from 65 degrees to 45 degrees with prime95,
and on-die temps from 75-80 degrees to 55-60 degrees.

Is this how this cooler is expected to perform , or should i get more performance?

PS: I live in India , where it is Really HOT AND HUMID , with Ambient temperature @ 31 Degrees Celcius.

That will probably help a bit but why not look at the Hyper 212 instead? Reasonably priced and a lot more of a cooling increase.

Well , Im on a Really Really Really Really TIGHT budget , and i just sold off some of my OLD PC games [Yeah it took me a LOT of time] for the Cash , there is NO WAY I can change my budget,
This is the best buy for my budget ,
WILL IT MAKE A 5 Degrees diffrence at least ? thats all im asking for.

Probably yes it would be able to do the job. Just ensure that you have a good air flow in your case.

It should make a 5 degree cooling difference assuming you have good airflow in your case. I still wouldn't be running above 65C but to each his own.

You need to make sure that you're accounting for thermal paste cleaning supplies in your budget. If you don't replace the thermal paste before mounting your new cooler, you will most likely see temperature increases.

The ArctiClean kit is the best one I've seen - you could just use isopropyl alcohol that is relatively pure.

-I have a Cooler master thermal paste + another comes bundles with the cooler itself.

-I have a fairly reasonable airflow , and i have this HUGE 150mm Fan which mounts on the side panel , and will be using that upon installing this cooler . [This fan draws power from an electrical socket :p  ]

So im guessing its a GO?

Yes, that is a considerable difference from the stock cooler. That is a good result for a cheap cooler.

Good temps, you got a good deal there.
