I have an old Toshiba Satellite A200-1Z3 which houses a Core2Duo T5750.Recently I noticed only one core was enabled so I went to the bios and enabled the second one too. But as soon as Windows 7 [Professional x32] reached the login screen it gave me the BSOD. I tried it with Ubuntu 13.04 [x32] too, which also gave me a kernel panic. I went into Windows 7 Safe mode and it worked perfectly. I disabled the second core again, and everything was back to normal.The thing is whenever I try to enable the second core I get a BSOD. I really need the second core to improve the performance of the Laptop. Please help me.
