Yes or in my case I have a r6670 and just bought the 7950..will they crossfire or should I not. If it does crossfire will the new card be constricted in any way?

If you'd just look at the chart, it will be clear. The answer is a resounding no, it will not crossfire. They have to be the same GPU to be able to crossfire, though cut down versions can work with non or differently cut down versions. 7950's and 7970's could Crossfire, but a 7850 could not crossfire with either. Since the r9 series has some rebadging, some of them can crossfire, just look at the chart given.

Interesting... basic info I know but I do ignore a lot.
What about RX 480 and RX 580 .. same story I guess since one is polaris the other WILL BE Vega Right?
So I can only RX 480 RX 480 470 460 .. but not these with a future 580? mmmmm!!

You'll have to find another chart to confirm, but from my understanding, the RX 470 is a cut down version of the RX 480, so they should work, but the RX 460 will not crossfire with either. I'm not even sure it supports crossfire anyway.
