So my friend and I are building another gaming PC (high end). I have never tried to SLI anything in my life. How do I go about SLI -ing 2 GTX 780s? I don't know what do to. It might be easy, it might not be; I have no idea. Please help.
It's quite simple, make sure you have a motherboard that supports SLI, and make sure you have an adequate power supply for the cards you intend on using. Also, if you plan on overclocking, which I would expect you would, you'll want some headroom for that, so take that into account when purchasing the power supply as well. Basically you just plug the cards in and connect them with an SLI bridge and they should be good to go. The bridge should come with the GPUs. Also, I believe you can boot/post the system with both cards and then go ahead and install the newest Nvidia drivers, but I've always waited until I have the drivers installed and I've gotten the system up and running before adding a second card.
