The first build will be better. The Athlon goes faster than the Fusion and all chipsets for the AM3+ socket are faster. AM3+ also has more upgradability options if you wanted to upgrade in the future.

assuming you dont want to mess with anything, the second one.
better graphics, slightly less CPU, but 4gb of DDR3.

i cant imagine only have 2gb ram like the top one, that just doesnt cut it these days.
plus hte 2nd has a win 8 with COA....

the first one you'd need to buy an OS which would be another $100

You could probably play some free online games like League of Legends on low settings. Browser based MMO's and similar games should be playable as well. Some much older titles would probably be OK. What kind of budget do you have for a new system?

Can you afford an extra $50 for a video card?

Are they both normal cases and not slim cases?

What are the model number of the motherboard in each PC and does it have an empty PCI-express x16 slot?

As long as the motherboard has a PCI-express x16 slot, you could buy the video card later, if you wanted to.

Here is a HD 7750 video card for $79.99 and $49.99 after rebate, a great deal for the money.
