Last response: in Windows 7

Hey guys so I tried playing some Blu Rays on my new PC that I built about a month ago but I think Im missing some CODECs

When trying to play the Blu Ray I receive this error message:
"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD. The disc was created in a manner that the Player does not support."

So Im assuming I just need the appropriate CODEC package.

Does anyone know of a trusted source to download CODECs from?

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks in advance.

Blu rays need BR playing software so that Sony can collect their licensing fees. I haven't looked at BR playing software for a while but PowerDVD comes to mind as being popular. I think Nero sells cheap BR player software. Not all players work as well as others. They also need to be updated regularly to support the newest BR releases. Unfortunately, I am not aware of any free BR playing software, maybe someone else knows of something.

Thanks. Ive heard awful things about PowerDVD.

Im fairly familiar with NERO products but havent found anything that would qualify as "cheap".

$16 Nero BR software (it will update to newest version for free):

And BTW: I've used buycheapsoftware many times, they are legit.
