no display on ati/amd xfx radion hd 5850

hey guys i recently brought my old build back to life all i did was install windows 7
finally got BF3 re installed and when i went to play it about 2 minutes after the game started i got brown and tan horizontal bars all over the screen it was also froze so i rebooted my computer it booted up fine but with no display ive tried resetting the cmos and re installing the drivers im hoping its not dead any help would be greatly apreciated

just got done resetting card and puting moniter through power cycle and no go
i did get a cmd window with the directory for AMD drivers asking me yes or no i typed yes not sure what that did tho

that's the problem. but don't really expect a lot from the rest of your system either. BF3 is pretty hard on parts. you'll have to lower settings and resolution to play.

what PS are you using?

is the card good?

PS? not sure what that is and yes as far as i can tell the card is good i took it apart and looked at all the copasiters and whatnot and nothing looked burnt out or damaged and the pcie is good a lil dust on the plastic but the connectors are clean

did you enter the BIOS and make sure the pci-e slot or PEG was enabled............... or if the slot was on "auto" as far as video goes?

card draws too much power. your PS can hardly run the machine when it was stock.

give make and model ( e-machines ) . I'll see if I can find out if the ps is proprietary/what actual size is and mounting location.

no the case is emachines the ps was never stock when i got it this pc was spacificly built for BF3 i just checked the PS and the fuse is good and there are no internal issues
