High end DRAM is uber expensive, the chips are very hard to get and pairing sticks up to play together is extremely hard, I know GSkill had the jump on others getting the high freq sticks out, and heir prices are starting to come down (little by little) as the production goes up and the binning process is more refined, but others are still behind the curve....if you look at 32GB sets of 2400 DRAM Corsair just got a set out a couple months back and they want like $560 for it, while GSkill has about 6 sets out, all from about $300 to $350, in large part because they've been doing 2400 sets for well over a year now
