I bought the MSI Big Bang XPower 2 and the Noctua NH-D14.

On the website it recommends using the mounting kit.

So i start assembling the CPU Cooler but the backplate screws dont fit into the CPU Socket holes.

What shall i do?

Yes, I bought the 2011 version. But the backplate was not included in the mounting kit, the backplate was from the D14 box.

I think the 2011 version has the bracket in the NH D14 box.

Because it is the 2011 version it should just screw right into the built in support.

Recheck the parts to ensure they are the right ones.

Please help, I got the 2011 version for an 1150 socket. Woops. Do i need to return it, or can I get the mounting kit necessary for 1150

2 things you may be able to do.

1. Contact the store you got the cooler from and see if they can do anything(Maybe you can just send back the mounting bracket and get the 1150 one.). Worst case they may request you to return and swap it.

2. Contact Noctua (support@noctua.at) and see if they can get you the part you need. I know many of the adapter they have are free to get older coolers working on newer hardware, maybe they can do the same to allow the 2011 version to work with 1155/1156/1150.

Even if the adapter cost something it may be worth it for the PWM fans the 2011 version of the cooler has.

It's okay now. For $7.50 I got the whole mounting kit on amazon. Since Noctua gave those kits away for free to people with older boards, many must have sold them off, and that's why I found it so cheap (imo).
