I have 2x GTX680
FX 8350 running at stock 4.0 ghz
ASUS A990FX PRO 2.0
8GB 1600mhz
1920x1080

I'm running the latest Nvidia drivers but am hitting a low 30 fps

Am I doing something wrong or expecting more?

Make sure you have both cards enabled. Check if your CPU is temperature throttling. SLI cable and power connected? Boards seated fully?

Otherwise the usual delete drivers, clean registry, and re-install drivers.

Also you should have at least a quality 850W supply.

one of those video cards should run crysis 2 on ultra just fine, maybe try disabling sli and see what happens. Although i know i can play the game on ultra fine with 2 gtx660's in sli at 60+fps. Your cpu should be fine too. So i'd say its a settings/driver issue. And as said above, check temperatures for thermal throttling.

Per Nvidia's website, the 680's take 195W each. That plus your CPU plus motherboard and RAM alone will give you about 650W. Plus hard drives, fans, LED's you could very well be at your supply's limit. Normally you want at least 100W beyond the max you are using.

I have not had this issue at all with 680 SLI. This is at 1600p, the op is using 1080p. I suspect the OP problems are CPU related, or driver setup related.

You should also try this: http://maldotex.blogspot.com/2013/02/maldohd-40-final-version.html

Maldohd 4.0 gives a great increase in visuals and still gives good FPS.
