Hi everyone, I need some advice. I want to get either 2 asus 770s or 780s and run them in sli, but I am also looking at the Gigabyte 7990. I am a huge fan of Nvida but if I can get better preformance from the 7990 I will buy it. I might buy a second 7990 in the future only because I just love having maximum performace. So if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.
Specs:
Monitor- Asus vg278qe (144hz)
Case- Corsair Air 540
CPU- 4770k
Motherboard- Asus maximus vi extreme
RAM- Corsair dominator platinum 16gb
OS (Only because it plays a small part in how some games run)- Windows 7 Ultimate

At current market prices, you're better off getting two Radeon HD 7970s and crossfiring them. That would give you better performance than the HD 7990 and it would only cost you about $600 instead of the $800-$1000 for the two GTX 770s or 780s. Here's an example:

Here's a chart to show the differences between the HD 7970, GTX 770 and GTX 780 cards:

Wait for the R9-290X. It comes out in 4 days and will stomp the Titan for $700!

I mainly play FPS games BF3, BF4, CSS, and mostly ArmA. I don't know if this helps you guys out in answering the queston of what is the better graffics solution, but I still don't know which ones to pick.

Yeah I saw that in BF4 that AMD cards really out perform the Nvidia cards.

I don't really see how they "really outperform" nvidia cards.

The 7990 is on par with SLI 780s, and worse when you turn up the quality and resolution.

I just won't to know what is going to be the
most bang for the buck. I can go 780 sli only if it's really going to be the right choice for right now and in the future.
Yes, I know that "future proofing" isn't a real thing, its just I want the best experience I can get.
