Definitely,it can run that game at high settings and video rendering.

Depends on the game but in most cases yes a 550 Ti can't really run the most graphic intensive games of today on higher setting your going to be stuck on low or medium most of the time. The CPU is far far superior to the GPU.

It depends on the game you play.
Not all games are the same.
do some research about your GPU benchmark.

i dont plan to game at all. i bought this gpu mainly for video rendering. i just want to know if it can run games like skyrim at high settings for my girlfriend to play sometimes and was also wondering if bottlenecking is only a minor setback to what i initially plan on doing (video rendering) because it would be awesome if it meant only that compared to it being a big problem.
