Im feeling i didnt get the best bang for my buck and that im settling.

Heres My Build

-Intel i5 3570k ( was told i should have gotten 4670k )

-Raedon HD 7870

-8Gb RAM

-MOBO Asus P8z77v-lk

Im coming from consoles and wanted a system and GPU that could max all current games and most future games. Im reading that the 7870 doesnt even come close but as i look at comparisons from Low-High and High-Ultra i will be completly satisfied with High Settings.

My question is will the 7870 play all current gen games on High aswell as future next gen titles? Im going crazy thinking should i go the crossfire route or sell my 3 week old GPU and use that towards a upgrade like a 7970 or Gtx 670. I want to be a piece with this so could i get some help ? I also feel dumb for getting a lst gen CPU!... Thanks.

haswell = ivy bridge.

There is a nominal difference with the processors. The 7870 you have is optimal for a semi- budget computer system. I see nothing wrong with your build, battlefield 4 recommends a 7870 for its recommended thingy. You are good. Dont let the newer truer things get to you. Computer stuff gets better every season.

Your CPU is more than enough for next gen games. the 4670k is not much of a performance increase. I own a 7870 myself for about a year now and i must say it has been a great GPU but its getting old. i suggest returning it or sell it and pick up the R9-280X whens it comes out or grab the HD 7970 if your not playing the waiting game. Check out my YouTube channel if you wanna see game-plays with the HD 7870!

I would agree with the above, with BF4 being one of the next next gen titles coming out its recommendations are:
"what's recommended: Windows 8 to start off with, and either a six-core AMD or quad-core Intel processor, supported by 8GB RAM and 3GB graphic memory. DICE suggests Radeon HD 7870 and GeForce GTX 660 graphics cards."

This was taken from their website you should be fine for at least another year, but with new advances every few months there will always be a bigger and better gpu, cpu, or etc. that what you have. Hope this helps.
