PC components:

- i7 4770k
- GTX 770
- 600w PSU
- MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Mobo
- Seagate 2tb SSHD
- Hyper 212 Evo (I will put a second fan on the other side of the heat pipe)
- 16 gb RAM 1866
- Fractal Design R4 Case

I just wanted to know if I would be able to overclock my CPU to 4.5ghz, and will it be ok with a 212 evo and a 600w power supply???. Or should I get a better CPU cooler and a higher watt power supply???

Solution
Not with a CM 212 EVO. maybe something like 4.2 but not 4.5.
I had the MSI GD45 your looking at. My 4670K ran warm for a while. Then a recent BIOS update came out and my temperatures dropped to a more reasonable level.
PSU manufacturer? I recommend SeaSonic USA.

Really depends on the individual products and how much stress they are willing to take. It should be able to hit 4.5, whether it's stable at that is another question.

I don't think you require any hardware changes and I'd expect it to hit 4.3 stable at the least.

Not likely. The Haswell series of Cpu's generate quite a bit more heat, and at 4.5ghz on the 4770k, I wouldn't expect it to be stable. You'd most likely need to step up to a better Cpu cooler to be stable at that speed. If I remember right, Tom's did a Haswell cooling article, and they recommended the NH-U14s from Noctua for cooling the I7 4770k.

So what if instead I get a Cooler Master V6 GT, will that be able to maintain a stable 4.5ghz, and also is the 600w power supply enough for all of these components??

After rereading that Tom's article I posted, your best bet for as close of a sure thing to get 4.5ghz stable on the 4770k, I'd go with a Corsair 80i or 100i to start off with. Of course you may not hit that OC with any type of cooling, depending on the Cpu.
