my keeps shutting down while running far cry 3

i believe its my power supply honestly i have an amd radeon hd 7770 graphics card amd athlon 750k cpu 1 tb HD MSI FM2 A55M-E33 Mobo and my PSU is a logisys 550w as i said i think its my psu as when i try to run far cry 3 on max settings it runs for 5 mins or so and then just shuts down and no its not just rebooting its as if im taking the plug and yanking it out.

The 7770 isnt a high power draw card, but from what you listed the PSU does seem like the least reliable of your components. You have adequate ventilation? Is the PC getting hot? Is the PSU hot? Its not the wattage of the PSU, it would likely just be a reliability problem.

Totally worth picking up an inexpensive 450w seasonic or corsair for your system and peace of mind even if that doesnt end up being it.

Have you monitored the cpu temperatures while playing Far Dry 3? It sound like your cpu might have reached it thermal threshold and shut down to protect the cpu. That would be my guess without knowing more. Install RealTemp http://www.techpowerup.com/realtemp/ and monitor you temps. It might not hurt to dial back your setting from max in Far Cry 3 also.
